This year’s International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) Pan American Championship was held at one of the world’s most beautiful Waterski arenas, Lago los Morros, home of Miranda Water Ski School and Team Malibu International athletes Felipe and Rodrigo Miranda. Not only were The Mirandas host of the week-long event, they also excelled in the open division with Felipe winning Open Men’s Overall and Jumping, and Rodrigo placing second in jump and third overall. The site is located on the outskirts of Santiago in Chile. Over 174 skiers, ranging from ages 14 to 69 from nine countries fiercely competed for their team and placement in individual titles for slalom, trick, jump, and overall. Malibu’s TXi pulled skiers nonstop for nearly 12 hours per day with perfection, demonstrating the outstanding quality and workmanship of the Response TXi. Malibu Boats was honored to be the premier sponsor of the championship, and impressed with the high-level performances, personal bests, and Pan American Records that were accomplished in Chile.

Malibu Boats is honored to announce that our premier athlete Regina Jaquess was the elite winner in this prestigious event. Regina, again, captured everyone’s attention and respect by setting Pan American Records. Her strong performances were flawless over six rounds of skiing, continuing to make Regina the best Female Water skier in the World. Regina shared with Malibu, “Finishing up 2018 ski season at Pan American Championships behind Malibu boats was a huge success with a win in slalom jump and overall and third in tricks. I was able to set Pan American records in slalom, jump, and overall and was 101 points away from breaking the world overall record...

"It’s great to be able to compete internationally behind the Response TXi. Malibu boats have always allowed me to perform exceptionally by being able to break standards and records."
